How to care for your Sterling Silver jewelry:
Storing your sterling silver in the open air and humidity for extended periods of time can cause it to tarnish quickly.  Tarnish first appears as a golden hue on your sterling silver then quickly turns to black.  This is a normal process that is caused by oxidization and moisture from air and believe it or not sunshine.
To keep tarnish to a minimum it is advised that you store your jewelry pieces when not wearing them and by following some simple tips below:

    • Apply your make-up, perfume & hairspray prior to putting on your jewelry.
    • Remove your jewelry before doing any household work or manual labor.
    • Never wear pearl earrings or necklaces when getting hair colored.
    • Don’t wear jewelry in pools, jacuzzi’s, or the ocean.
    • Store your jewelry in pouches or ziplock bags.  Wrap each piece individually (in tissue or cloth)
to avoid scratching.  Keep airtight while storing.
    • Clean the silver with a non-abrasive silver polish, a pre-treated polishing cloth or a cleaning
solution of mild dish soap & warm water.
    • If using polish, apply with a soft cloth, gently working it into stains.
    • Wipe away any excess polish & buff jewelry with a soft, lint-free cloth until shiny.
    • If using a cleaning solution, follow the same instructions as for gold & platinum jewelry, but
do not soak the silver jewelry for too long, as that may alter the finish.
    • Enjoy your silver pieces, as frequent wearing can prevent tarnishing!
